Cermonial calabash from the days of the Hawaiian Monarchy

I have been told to give this to a MUSEUM in Hawaii. I will not. It was given to me by a Spreckels descendant before he died with the instructions  to take it around so people on this side of the Pacific to enjoy. It was purportedly given to Claus Spreckels by King Kalakaua.

I don't think the Bishop Museum needs one more Calabash that most people will never see. Why do I get so much grief?
